Welcome to KNOWN.

Here’s why it exists.

I’ve been building businesses since 2011. A magazine. A blog. A creative agency. Most flopped. Then COVID hit and wiped out the one that finally worked.

But that’s not the story.

After COVID I rebuilt fast. Launched a personal branding agency. Got a business partner. Built a team. Scaled it to the point where I was running the whole thing from the QE2 in Dubai. Travelled extensively for two years. Had everything that looked like success from the outside.

Then I asked myself the question I’d been avoiding.

Is this actually what I want?

No.

So I walked away.

Today I run DZLRS — a one-person personal branding studio. I work with founders, consultants, and experts who are great at what they do but invisible to the people who need them most.

That gap — between being good and being known — is what I’ve spent the last six years thinking about.

And right now, that gap is getting dangerous.

Here’s what’s changed. Someone with half your talent can pick up an AI tool today and produce content that looks polished, sounds confident, and appears credible. They can show up consistently, write fluently, and come across as an authority — without having earned any of it.

Which means the old logic no longer holds. Being genuinely good is not enough. Being experienced is not enough. Even being right is not enough.

If you’re not known — specifically, distinctly, unmistakably known — you will lose ground to people who are simply louder.

But here’s what AI cannot do.

It cannot replicate your original thinking. The ideas you’ve developed over years of doing real work with real people. Your stories — the failures, the pivots, the moments that actually changed how you see things. The way you make sense of your industry, your craft, your life. The authority that comes not from a credential but from having lived the problem you now solve.

That’s what KNOWN is about.

Every edition goes deep on one thing: how coaches, consultants, and experts build visibility that’s rooted in who they actually are. How to be known for your thinking, not just your service. How to build a personal brand that no algorithm shift, no AI tool, and no well-funded competitor can replicate — because it’s built entirely on what only you have.

No tactics without thinking. No frameworks without context. Just clear thinking on what it actually takes to go from good — to known.

One thing before you go.

If you ever want me to build this with you [not a course, not a template, but hands-on] that’s what DZLRS is for. But we’ll get to that.

For now, the next edition lands soon.

See you there.

P.S. Let’s connect on LinkedIn and tell me one thing: What’s the biggest thing stopping you from building the business you actually want? I read every reply. And it shapes what I write next.
