Okay, let’s get straight to it.
If your content isn’t strategic, it won’t get results.
If it is, it will.
Simple.
But here’s the problem, creating strategic content takes time.
A lot of time.
Unless you have a system.
This is the system I use, and I know it’ll work for you too.
Step 1: Keep a Running List of Topics
You need a bank of ideas. Otherwise, every time you sit down to create content, you’ll waste time figuring out what to talk about.
Just keep a simple list. Google Docs, Notion, a notes app --- doesn’t matter.
Step 2: Pick a Topic and Get Your Thoughts Down
Pick one topic.
Write everything you know about it.
Doesn’t have to be perfect. Doesn’t have to be structured.
At this stage, just get it out of your head and onto the page.
Step 3: Record Your Anchor Content
This is where most people get stuck.
They spend too much time planning, scripting, second-guessing.
Just hit record.
It can be 5-10 minutes or longer if needed. If you’re not posting the full video, longer is better because this becomes your anchor content, the main piece that everything else will come from.
I use Loom. Not because they pay me, but because it’s simple and it works.
You don’t need fancy editing. You don’t need a big setup. Just record.
Step 4: Repurpose It
Now, take that one long-form video and turn it into multiple pieces of content.
For me, this becomes:
A YouTube video
A newsletter (this one)
Short-form videos (reels, shorts, TikToks)
For you, it could be a podcast, a blog, a PDF, whatever fits your style.
Then, break it down into spark content, smaller posts that drive traffic back to your anchor content.
Examples:
A story post → “I used to spend 10 hours a week on content. Here’s what changed.”
An opinion post → “Most creators fail at content because they don’t have a system.”
A carousel → “5 steps to create content faster.”
A quick tip → A single insight pulled from the video.
From one video, you can easily create 10-20 smaller pieces of content.
Step 5: Build Awareness (Pre-CTA Post)
Before dropping your main content, let people know it’s coming.
A simple post:
"Creating content that actually works doesn’t have to take forever. Tomorrow, I’m sharing a step-by-step system to create strategic content faster. Want early access? Join here."
This gets people interested before you even post.
Step 6: Post & Promote (Post-CTA Post)
Once your content is live, don’t just post and forget.
Follow up with a post that directs people back to it:
"Yesterday, I shared a step-by-step system to create strategic content faster. If you missed it, here’s the link."
Your goal is to link everything { most things } back to your anchor content.
Final Thoughts
This process works.
It saves time, eliminates the guesswork, and ensures every piece of content has a purpose.
Try it and see how it changes the way you create.
